Our Recommendation
The Marucci Acadia 47A3 is a great choice for developing fastpitch players who play several positions and want one glove capable of covering most of the field.
The 12.5" size and deep pocket make it particularly useful for outfield while still being manageable for players who spend time in the infield. For utility players who regularly move between positions, this versatility can make the 47A3 a better choice than purchasing a more position-specific glove.
We particularly like the Acadia for junior and developing softball players moving beyond their first glove. The tapered hand stall and adjustable wrist provide a more secure fit, while the full-grain cowhide construction offers improved feel and durability over many entry-level gloves.
If the player primarily plays middle infield, we would generally recommend a smaller glove for quicker transfers. For players covering third base, utility positions and the outfield, however, the 12.5" 47A3 is a very versatile option.
